Bring on The Presents and Large Letters Framelits Dies

Hands up !  I admit it - I am a very untidy person/crafter.   I do have aspirations of being neat and perfect but it just doesn't play out in reality.

I was mortified about two months ago, when I reached for my Large Letters Framelits Dies to find that about half a dozen or more had gone AWOL !   In scenes that will probably ring true with a lot of you I searched frantically through drawers, the bin, scraps, other packs of dies, but .........nothing !    The trail went cold and I resigned myself to saving hard for a replacement pack.

So imagine my joy and relief yesterday when I picked up a project that I had shelved for a while and filed away to work on at a later date, only to find them all there, present and correct !!

Naturally I had to put them to good use, having missed them for so long.

A couple of weeks ago I found a lovely card on Pinterest, by Amy Gray on her Blog called Crafting Confessions which has inspired my card today.   I have used an entirely different colour combination of Lovely Lipstick and Black and stamped my background using a stamp set I showcased yesterday, Bring on the Presents.  The word "Birthday" is from the Birthday Banners stamp set.  I used my Stamparatus for this, inking up the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then masking off the "Happy" before stamping onto my vellum strip, to end up with one solitary stamped word.  Top tip here - use the heat gun to dry the black ink quickly.

I love the contemporary style of this card and I am so chuffed to have my beloved Large Letters Framelits all back together in once place.

I have learned my lesson though - in the words of my mentor and team leader Pootles :-

"Don't put it down - Put it away !!"

However this quote from Winnie the Pooh is probably the one that sums me up !

"One advantage of being disorderly is that one is constantly making exciting discoveries."

That's it from me for today.   Hope you will pop back.
