Pretty Background Stamping with the Time For Tea Photopolymer Stamp Set

Sadly, my family has the need for yet another sympathy card.  Let's just say that 2018 has been a truly horrid year.

Putting the sadness aside, I have designed a card which I think is suitable for this sad occasion.

I am always looking at sets which provide what I consider to be stamps with the potential to be great for creating pretty backgrounds.

I noticed two such stamps in the Time For Tea stamp set.

I selected two floral stamps which are designed for two step stamping.  So working with Lovely Lipstick card stock, I did some tone on tone stamping using coordinating Lovely Lipstick ink, stamping some base flowers across my layer.  Then I used versamark and stamped the second stamp over those.  I used Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set the flowers.

You may notice that some of the gold stamping is a little awry, but I felt I could get away with it.  After all, its a handcrafted card and although there may be the odd imperfection, it has been made with love.

I wanted a suitable sentiment and the Itty Bitty Greetings two part set had the perfect one for a Sympathy Card.

So it's done - and I think it is appropriate for the occasion.

Thanks for looking.

Bye for now.
