One of the new products that caught my eye was the gorgeous Christmas Traditions Punch Box. I am a sucker for a new punch and I love the Christmas Traditions Punch and coordinating stamps. Complete with a handy acrylic block and also two Stampin' Spots in Call Me Clover and Real Red all packaged up in a gorgeous storage tin, the Christmas Traditions Punch Box is a winner.
To celebrate the launch of the new catalogue I decided to kick off my own Countdown to Christmas for this year, using the new Christmas Traditions Punch and stamps for Project No. 1 - this really lovely top closing gift box. Now, top closing boxes and I have long had issues ! I find that the only way I can securely close them is with a bow or a belly band as they have a tendency to easily pop open.
For this design of mine, by simply adding an extra score line you will find when the box is assembled that you have a top closing box that closes securely without the necessity for a belly band. The size of the box makes it perfect for stocking fillers and tree presents.
I snuck another new product in too - the Sprig punch. This new punch, like the Christmas Traditions one, is going to be so useful for many projects - not just Christmas ones. I do love versatility.
Hope you like it and enjoy this step by step video tutorial:-
