Detailed Floral Thinlits and Delightful Daisy

The Detailed Floral Thinlits dies do make the perfect background for a beautiful and very quick card.

I used them here in Lovely Lipstick card stock to form a very pretty card base.

For me, you can't beat a good punch or two !!  ..... or three in this case.

I used my Daisy Punch, Leaf Punch and the Triple Banner Punch to good effect here.  The card was super easy but looks very chic.  A splash of green for the leaves gave my card a subtle injection of colour and I created a nice pearl centrepiece for my flower.

I love how it turned out.  Hope you do too.

Thanks for visiting and I would love you to pop back again.

Have a lovely day.

Customer Notebooks in Petal Promenade DSP & a Familiar Sounding Crafter's Sentiment !

I do have a huge apology for my October customers.

Unfortunately circumstances have conspired against me this month and it was just not possible to get my Thank You packs out in a timely fashion.  Deliveries that were missing in action (and still missing) hence awaiting replacements, temporary assignments, family hospital appointments and finally illness, have made it rather impossible.

However, although working from my sickbed today - literally ........ imagine the scene;  laptray (actually one of my team has a Blog by the name of The Laptray Crafter !!) ..... glue (a little tricky ....watch the bedclothes !!), tissues, Vick Vapour Rub,  .... stamps, ink, card and DSP .........I have managed to finally complete the last of my October Thank You packs !

I do like making up covered notepads, and Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper is just perfect for creating pretty covers.   The Crafting Forever stamp set is a "must have" if you have crafty friends, customers or colleagues.  I used one of the sentiments from the set which just about sums me up ....when not battling the effects of a nasty head cold.

Anyway ...... I am feeling relieved to have completed that task and will be endeavouring to get them out in the post tomorrow.

I do hope you like my notepads.  Thanks for visiting and I hope you will pop back again.

Have a lovely day and bye for now.

CAS Colour & Sketch Challenges #295 - Sketch

I have popped back again this week to CAS Colour and Sketch Challenges for their  Sketch Challenge no 295.  Their blog is dedicated to creating greetings cards in the Clean and Simple style of crafting, alternating between colour and sketch challenges.

This is the sketch challenge for this week:-

And this is my entry !

I chose two of my favourite colours, Flirty Flamingo and Coastal Cabana.  I haven't used my Detailed Floral Thinlits in quite some time so I gave them a dusting off and ran off two in the two colours.  Then I created myself something of a jigsaw puzzle, in that I retained the Coastal Cabana die-cut, popping out all the intricate pieces.  I also popped the pieces out of the Flirty Flamingo die-cut and then replaced them into the Coastal Cabana die-cut.  It was a little labour intensive but then I do like jigsaw puzzles and it was actually very absorbing.

Once I had completed it, I cut it down to a small rectangle and layered it onto a piece of Whisper White card stock.

Then out came my Varied Vases Bundle.  I did a mix of stamping and punching to create the pretty centre topper.

I have to say I am very happy with how it all came together.  I do hope it meets the challenge criteria.

Hope you like it.  Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Bye for now,

Linda xx

Crafty's Angels Team October Tic Tac Toe Challenge

I set members of my team a little challenge just over a week ago.   I decided to make it a Tic Tac Toe one !  The object of the challenge is to select any vertical, horizontal or diagonal line and make a project.

This is the board - and here are some of the lovely projects that the talented and creative ladies came up with (please make sure to follow the links at the end to see Maggie and Wendy's interpretation of the board too) :-

This was my entry for which I chose to use the middle vertical line - you will note a teeny tiny vellum snowflake, used to create some texture. I used the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set and Swirly Snowflake Thinlits.  See Product List below.

Its in a pretty non-traditional colourway.  I teamed Flirty Flamingo with Whisper White.

And now a little roll call for the rest of the participating team:-

This is an amazing creation by Shelley Pizzey who is a demonstrator based in Great Bentley, Essex. Shelley selected the top line and created a gorgeous box to hold a  Christmas decoration.  She used the Hometown Greetings Thinlits.  I think it's beautiful and very sophisticated.

Next up we have a really pretty project from Linda Brown an Independent Demonstrator from Winkleigh in Devon who is a team member of Wendy Porters "Crafty Piglets".   Linda has selected the bottom horizontal line and used the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder, Foliage Frame Bundle and Special Celebration stamp set.

The next project is by Madeleine Messenger an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator based in Plymouth, Devon.   Madeleine selected the diagonal line going from top left for this beautiful Christmas Card.  The sentiment is from Peaceful Noel stamp set, heat embossed in silver.  She used the Blizard thinlits dies for the snowflakes.  Madeleine created a circular aperture behind which is a piece of vellum, making clever use of the Blizzard Thinlits as a stencil, embossing the snowflakes in white embossing powder.  Wink of Stella was applied to the snowflakes too, along with pretty pearly embellishments.

There are two remaining lovely entries by Maggie Sullivan and Wendy Porter which you can see over at their respective Blogs by clicking the links below.

Maggie Sullivan - Bows n Butterflies

Wendy Porter - The Laptray Crafter

Thanks very much for visiting.  I hope you enjoyed seeing what some of my creative team mates have put together.

Bye for now,

Linda xx
