Touches of Texture with Friendly Expressions

I needed a Congratulations card, so naturally reached for my Friendly Expressions stamp set, because I just love the font style used for the set of sentiments.

I fancied getting all "stampy" for this one and the Touches of Texture two part stamp set was ideal.

I selected a distressed lacy stamp, the little bee and the gorgeous big splodgy flower and set about stamping all over my layer of Pool Party card stock in coordinating Pool Party ink.  The impression left by the lacy stamp is much lighter because I chose to stamp off onto a piece of spare paper before then stamping directly onto the card.

The sentiment was heat embossed in white and I added a little bow and some sequins for texture and "voila" !

The top layer is adhered to a piece of fun foam cut to the same size.

I like how it turned out.  Hope you do too.

Thanks for looking and come back soon!

Botanical Bliss - Monotone Medley

Monotone cards can look so nice and chic - especially when you throw into that monotone theme a mix of inks, papers, stamps, card and coordinating textures.  It's far from boring !

That is what I have tried to do with today's card using Flirty Flamingo coloured DSP from the Brights 6 x 6 DSP pack, and stamps from the Botanical Bliss stamp set.

I have used coordinating layers of stamped card, pretty DSP (Designer Series Paper) and a nice layered topper finished of with some sparkly rhinestones.

Its all very simple and its so easy to achieve that lovely cohesive look using nothing but Stampin' Up! products.

Hope you like it - I do !!

Thanks for looking and please pop back.

Have a lovely day and bye for now.

Christmas Tic Tac Treat Holder - Featuring Cookie Cutter Builder Punch !

Well I did my very first Facebook Live broadcast yesterday - a step by step live tutorial on how to make these cute little Christmas Tic Tac Treat Holders.

Actually, I was going to go live with this project last Wednesday week, but during setting up for the live broadcast I put my back out, which has resulted in me having to lie flat on my back for the best part of the last week.  I managed to find a little respite from the pain and discomfort yesterday, so decide to grab that little window of time to finally share this project.

It was nerve-wracking to begin with, but I soon got into the flow and I am very happy with how it went.  I did appreciate being joined by folks from around the globe.  Isn't it just great how papercrafting can bring so many cultures together ?

Anway, my little treat holder seemed to be quite popular and I think the big surprise was how I made my little punched snowman, or rather, his top hat !!

I saw a pin on Pinterest which caught my eye, because I am always on the look-out for different ways in which to implement my punches.   Who would have thought looking at this little chap, that I used the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch to make a hat !!!   Pure genius - whoever came up with the idea in the first place.

I downloaded my live video and edited slightly to cut out some pauses, but I hope you are able to enjoy this project.   I have now uploaded it onto my YouTube channel, so you can catch it there too if you are interested.  This was filmed on my phone and the picture quality is not as sharp as when I use my camera, but I think it's adequate :-

Thanks for looking - and I hope you will come back for a return visit.

Bye for now,

Linda xx
