Blizzard Thinlits - Something Simple and Sparkly

I love my Blizzard Thinlits.  Just the one large die allows me to cut a whole heap of snowflakes in varying sizes from one die and one piece of card stock and if I don't need them all for a particular card, I have a little stash of pre-cut snowflakes ready for other projects !

Anyway, I did just that for this quick, simple but effective little card.  I cut lots of sparkly snowflakes and selected just one from my piece of Sparkle Glimmer Paper to be the focal point. Because I wanted to give the snowflake some added dimension I did stack two more Whisper White snowflakes beneath it before sticking it down to my card stock and DSP (Designer Series Paper).

One thing I would say when working with the Glimmer paper .... it has like a kind of film on the back and I found that I did need the Big Shot Precision Base Plate and also a card shim to get a good cut but even then had to resort to using my paper piercer to release some of the intricate cuts.

Not sure if you can spot the very subtly scored line above where the the DSP meets the cardstock. I have used the Subtles 6 x 6 DSP pack and worked in lovely cool Balmy Blue.

The sentiment is from the Star of Light photopolymer stamp set.

Having finished that one, I decided to try it in an alternative colourway, opting for Melon Mambo from the Brights 6 x 6 DSP!

Which do you prefer ?

Hope you like them.  Thanks for looking and please pop back again.

Bye for now.

  1. I like both of the cards, but my favorite is the blue one. It is very pretty!
