Be Mine Framelits - Dry Embossing & Die Cutting With the Big Shot

I decided to replicate today's project.  One design is a card of two layers and the other is a single layer card.  Both cards were quick and simple with no stamping involved.  Brilliant if you find stamping a challenge.  If you don't have a die-cutting machine ....definitely consider investing in one.  It will open up a whole new world of crafting to you.

I used my Big Shot Embossing Mats and used the pretty heart shaped dies to create an impressed image on my cards, rather than die cutting them.   The Embossing Mats just offer another interesting way in which to get the most from your dies.  Who needs embossing Folders when you can easily create your own impressed images ?    Only kidding ....... embossing folders have their place in our crafty stash too.

Anyway, like I said, I wanted to try a layered card and a single layer version.  To be honest, I like both, but I am kind of drawn to the neatness of the single layer one (embossed on a Very Vanilla Note card), although I do have a penchant for Pool Party.   For each card, I also used my Simply Scored, in order to add a dry embossed frame around each image.  It's a technique I use a lot.

The "Love" sentiment is from my new and much loved Well Written Framelits dies.  In both cases, I cut the sentiment a couple of times and stacked them before adhering them to my projects.  I love to do this because it just adds great definition/dimension to my projects.

Hope you like them.  Valentine's Day is on the horizon folks ..... a great excuse to get yourself into your crafty zones and get creative.

Thanks for looking.  Have a fabulous weekend.

Bye for now.

Linda xx
