Create Unique Crafty Recipes by Mixing and Matching

I have thrown a lot at this clean and simple looking card.

Would you think that by looking at it ?   Probably not.   But I can share that I used two Bundles (stamp sets with coordinating dies) plus a separate set of layering framelits dies.

That is the beauty of gradually building up a craft stash and acquiring products that ultimately will all work harmoniously together to create unique cards from unique crafty recipes.

For today's project I used this recipe:-
  1. Sweet Storybook Bundle (although to look at this card you would never believe that).
  2. Well Said Cling Bundle (really versatile with sentiments and word dies for many different occasions).
  3. Stitched Rectangles (a fabulous way to frame your cards - the stitched look is so on trend).
  4. Heat Embossing (adds the wow factor - look at the word die which I heat embossed several times in order to achieve a really glossy enamelled effect).
I used girly Powder Pink card stock and white heat embossing, because I was wanting something some pretty and feminine.

Those gorgeous swirly leafy branches and blossoms are from a cute, some would say "twee", bundle The branches look really sophisticated used independently of the other stamps in the set.  You will see what I mean by looking at the Sweet Storybook stamp set in the product list below.  You could be mistaken for thinking it's just another cutesy stamp set with limited possibilities.  Using the leafy stamp in the way I have for this project hopefully helps you to see just how versatile that little set could be.

I am honestly not trying to "teach Granny to suck eggs" here.  My intention is to help you to look at your sets in a different way to appreciate the possibilities within them.  Challenge yourself and try thinking outside of the box.  Its really creatively rewarding.

Sermon over !

Popping back to my sickbed now.  Hope you have a lovely day.  Happy Monday everyone.

Happy crafting !
