Well for today's project I decided to use the Tropical Chic bundle and got out my Big Shot too.
I also used my Stitched Shapes and Layering Squares. This, to me, demonstrates how worthwhile it is investing in dies that can nest in each other. Obviously, it's something I have done over time, because let's face it, building a stash does take time and money and it's important to invest wisely, no matter how big or small your budget. Nesting type dies in any shape are brilliant for creating frames around your focal point and drawing the eye towards that focal point.
I used the pretty square leafy die which partially and not entirely die cuts just the leafy details onto the card stock. I then created the frame with an assortment of square dies, and it didn't take long before I had a really pretty card ready to add to my collection of customer thank you packs. I also die cut some separate leaves in Pear Pizzazz to create a lovely harmonizing/analogous colour scheme for my project:-
"harmonising colours are the colours that are adjacent to each other the colour wheel:
red, orange, yellow; yellow, green, blue; blue, violet, red"
I do love this design and plan on recreating it using some different colour palettes, because variety is the spice of life ! Hope you like it too.
Thanks for looking. See you tomorrow perhaps ?
