Today's project is a Valentine themed one. Myself and Sue Bishop who is a member of my team, have decided to join together to bring you two separate projects using products from the Spring/Summer catalogue and the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. I understand that Sue's post today features her project and that she will also have a video tutorial for her project up and running over the weekend.
I was asked by a crafty friend if I had a template or instructions for a sandwich style take-out treat box. Well, I didn't. But I do now !
I had a quick look at Pinterest and came across a template which was in German, but the measurements didn't quite measure up (please excuse the pun) when I tried to follow it. I do think that this came about because in Europe demonstrators tend to work in metric and often when offering an imperial conversion, measurements can be a little "out" and vice versa when offering conversions from imperial to metric, measurements can be a little "off".
Anyway, I have worked with the basic template and this is my version using some lovely products from the Spring catalogue, details of which you will find in the Product List below.
What I had forgotten when putting together my project, was that Stampin' Up! no long carry red foil sheets. They have retired, so I have put a link in the Product List below for Real Red card stock instead which is equally suitable for this Valentine project.
I have put together a step by step video tutorial if you fancy trying your hand at one of these easy little sandwich style boxes. Appearances are deceptive because the shape may look complicated, but these cute boxes are relatively easy to put together.
I do hope you like my project and I encourage you to click on the link below, to take you to my team mate, Sue's Blog over at Sue Bees Papercrafts, and her inspiring Valentine project.
Happy crafting and bye for now.
