Mini Decanter Style Easter Treat Box - Folds Flat and Opens Each End !

Hi everybody and Happy Weekend !!

Today I have a sweet little Easter project to share with you.   It's similar in size and shape to a project I made a few years back, but I have revised the design and this version now not only folds flat; it opens at each end too !

For the benefit of those of you who do not own the Envelope Punch Board, to demonstrate the construction of this box, I didn't use one to form the shaped top.  I just did some clever cutting, but if you prefer to use an Envelope Punch Board, you have that option also.

I used my Best Bunny Photopolymer Bundle which at £28.75 is fantastic value for both the stamp set and the coordinating punch combined.  I think it adds a fun element.  My little bunny is looking out of faux windows from different angles on each side of the box.

I used Gingham Gala DSP in Lemon Lime Twist to decorate the box, along with reversible ribbon in Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple Green.

I will say that I used a fair few punches for this project (all of which are available for purchase via my online store - see Product List below) but I make no apologies for that, because I happen to love punches and the fact that they are so portable, quick and easy to reach for when you are crafting, as opposed to dies.

I loved the shape and design of the box I made in my original video, but I am really happy with revisions I have now made to the design,  keeping its original size, which holds a reasonable amount of treats.   You could adapt my design to suit any occasion, and remember that you can make up a whole bunch of  plain boxes, to stash them away ready to decorate in a suitable theme, because they do fold flat.

This is my step by step video tutorial:-

Thanks for stopping by - I hope you have a fantastic weekend.

Happy crafting and bye for now.

Linda xx

  4. I just found your youtube channel a few days ago, after searching fruitlessly for weeks for a teapot box, that didn't require some fancy schmancy cutting machine. It was so adorable, and I have made several for an upcoming Alice in Wonderland tea party. Thank-you ever so much.

This decanter style box is equally as adorable...and you did it so beautifully...with clear instructions and measurements. Thank-you again. =)
