Desk Accessories Hack - One Pretty Shimmery DIY Lazy Susan !

I am currently looking at reorganising my craft room and although I have still not got around to the paint job and replacement of my worktop, I have been investing in rose gold accessories for my new desk area.

I posted a photo of my Ikea pegboard together with some pretty accessories and I am kind of using that as my mood board if you like, to give me inspiration.

Anyway, I bought some more pretty rose gold desk accessories and decided to make myself a mirrored lazy susan to hold my stapler, paperclips, pens, etc., all within reach and close together.

And here it is - ta dah !

I had bought the Shimmer Candle Plate from the Range at Christmas for a display of pillar candles (£2.99).  It was pretty cheap and cheerful and I really liked it.  So, I decided to use that on my desk.  I had a quick look on Ebay and came across a glass lazy susan (£4.25) which was the perfect size (25cm diameter).  I snapped it up.   As you can see, the Shimmer Candle Plate sits on top and I can turn it to my heart's delight to access my lovely rose gold bits and pieces !   I love it.  The whole thing came to under £10 which I think is a bargain price for such a pretty and useful desk hack.

Hope that inspires you as much as it has inspired me.

Thanks for looking and please pop back.

My plan this week is to paint my room in Chic Shadow Paint by Dulux and I hope to have the replacement worktop installed next weekend.

Bye for now and happy crafting everybody.

Linda xx

  1. What a fabulous idea! Looks great, you're building up a lovely collection there. Though I know what would happen if I had one of those; I would hypnotise myself, watching it spinning around, quite relaxing really. I hope you are enjoying the process of the revamp - Enjoy! Kx
