Free As a Bird, Bird Ballad DSP & Stampin' Blends - Card Making Made Easy

Really, all it takes to make a pretty card is beautiful stamps with some coordinating DSP and card stock and a soft colour pallette.

For the focal point of this card I simply stamped my line of cute birds in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto some Petal Pink card stock.

I had already selected my background papers, so I coloured my birds to coordinate with that, using Stampin' Blends in shades of Petal Pink, Pool Party, Old Olive and Crumb cake.

Using Petal Pink Blends on the birds breasts worked really nicely, because tone on tone is such a nice subtle effect.   It served to just slightly deepen the Petal Pink colour of my card stock.

Then I die cut my stamped image and a layer of Whisper White card stock with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits and added my layers to a Whisper White Note card.

I should add that the stamps and DSP are part of the beautiful Bird Ballad Suite which is coming soon.

I was so pleased with the result that I decided to make a little batch of them.

If you like the look of this project and the items used, then you will be happy to hear that they will be available to order from 4th June, following the release of the 2019/21 Annual Catalogue.

I just thought it would be nice to tease you with another little sneaky peek.

That's it from me for today.  I do hope you like my cards and that you will pop back for another visit.

Bye for now, and "Happy Stampin!" everybody.

Linda xx
