I was recently invited by Arteza to join in a collaboration and review some of their products.
This is the first of my reviews. I chose to review their premium range of 54 Glitter Jars which come in a vast array of colours and finishes. In total there are 33 beautiful colours, 11 of which are holographic, 9 are neon colour finishes and there is one glow in the dark Jar which is green and perfect for Halloween, which is looming.
The price point of the Glitter Jars is pretty impressive at £29.99 for the UK market and $34.98 for the USA. Bear in mind too that Arteza do offer a payment plan for their products whereby you can spread the cost. Not only that - shipping is FREE !
I was amazed to see the range of goods Arteza carry, from general artist supplies such as brushes, canvasses, watercolour colour paper, paint mediums etc., right through to products that would definitely appeal to crafters worldwide, from fabric paints, self-adhesive vinyl in assorted colours, wood slices and felt, to names just a few.
Back to the jars - the glitter is very very fine, non-toxic and gives a superbly smooth finish when used with self-adhesive sheets applied to cardstock. I also tried some stencilling using Deco Foil transfer gel. The effect this produces is much rougher and courser, but is still undeniably pretty and makes a great statement and focal point.
I like that each jar has two different types of dispenser - one for pouring on the glitter and one for sprinkling. There was no sprinkling for me as each of my projects required a substantial amount of glitter, so the pourer was ideal. I would say that I was pleasantly surprised when using the glitter applied to self-adhesive sheets on card stock, that there as very little shedding. I was sure to place each piece face down onto plain paper and rub the back back and forth firmly with my bone folder and this helped to compress it all firmly.

I made a couple of cards, a pretty tag and an embellishment for my planner. I do have many more ideas up my sleeve, so do watch this space. I have 54 jars to experiment with !!!!
Here are two of my projects made using the glitter. The flower clip for my planner was made using Sizzix Adhesive Sheets, and the background for my pretty blue card was made using a stencil and some Deco Foil transfer gel. Please see my video below

These glitters look good. I use Arteza HTV Vinyl with my Cricut and find that good.
ReplyDeleteI really loved working with them. They are super fine. :)
