Non Traditional Funky Christmas Card Using Dies by Bright Rosa

I was asked by the lovely folks over at Craft Stash if I would review some of the many many products they sell.  I was offered a choice of Brands and was drawn to Bright Rosa by designer Paula Pascual.  Her range is fabulous, modern and chic, and extremely affordable.  I did a double-take when I looked at the price point too.   That beautiful Snowflake Panel Die is only £9.99.

When my dies arrived, I was immediately blown away by the packaging.  The branding is really very attractive and fresh looking and the large pockets that the dies come in are fabulous and handy.  If, like me, your pet hate is dies that arrive stuck down to sticky tape and frankly a real pain to extricate before using, you will love that Paula's dies sit neatly inside the pockets in little cellophane bags.  They store beautifully and neatly.   The quality of the dies is impressive too.  Not flimsy and bendy.

As thoughts turn to Christmas crafting, I decided to make a Christmas card with the first of my selection of dies.   I used the gorgeous Snowflake Panel cover die which is in two parts. You have the central panel die and a coordinating outer die with a serrated edge.  I think this large eye-catching die is going to perfect for many different card themes, not just Christmas.

I decided to create a pretty blended background using a selection of Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks.  I invested in some relatively inexpensive Yoseng make-up blending brushes and was very pleasantly surprised at how good they are for blending inks.

If you are after some Christmas word dies, then look no further than Paula's Christmas Words.  OMG .... What a lovely selection of dies.  There are some cute word dies in a modern looking font that also have coordinating shadow dies ... and to complement the set there are a further five word dies which coordinate with rectangular border dies.   There are 18 dies in total.  The rectangular dies can be used on their own too, to create stitched backgrounds for other word dies or toppers.   The versatility of this pack of dies is just brilliant.  I shall be investing in some of the other word die packs from the Bright Rosa range that are more generic. I just love them.

I die-cut the sparkly snowflake which is from the Bright Rosa Snowflakes Corner Dies and added just a touch of bling to the centre of my snowflake.  I added some Wow Bonding Powder to fine glitter and heat set it using a heat tool.

I made a step by step video tutorial for this project, where I showcase these beautiful Bright Rosa products in all their glory.

I am thrilled with my finished card - I like that it looks so contemporary and funky.

Hope you like it too.

I have not been paid for this review and I did not purchase the Bright Rosa products.

I have been asked by a few people for details about my glass mats.  I have two that I highly recommend.  I used the Tim Holtz cutting mat in today's video and I also have the Tonic large glass cutting mat (details below in the product list).

Have a super day and .........................."Happy Crafting everybody!".
