Scented Tealights Gift Box with Presentation Card - Video Tutorial

This site uses affiliated links which means I will receive a small percentage if you use any of my links to purchase products I use for my projects .  Please see Affiliate and Product Disclosure tab above

Hi everybody

Today I have a lovely gift box which I sized to hold 9 scented tealights together with a presentation card to be enclosed in the box.  This card enables you to include a personalised message for the recipient of the tealights gifts.

I decided to make this box using items from the Papercraft Society Kit Box 3 designed by Paula Pascual which is now sadly sold out.  However, if you have a good selection of pretty papers and dies, you can go "freestyle" and decorate however you so wish.

I enjoyed creating this project and I hope you enjoy my latest step by step video tutorial showing you how to put one of these together.

The Papercraft Society introduces a new kit each month by some great designers.   The latest kit designed by Christina Griffiths can be found on the Craft Stash UK website.   Delivery to subscribers in the UK is free and the kits are also available to order in the US Mainland, Australia, Canada and Europe.  Delivery to those countries is £6 per kit.

I have not used affiliated links for this post.

Thank you for dropping by and I do hope you will pop back again.

Bye for now and ............................."happy crafting everybody!".

Soft Watercolouring using the Altenew 36 Half Pans Set of Watercolors & a Fancy Hello !

This site uses affiliated links which means I will receive a small percentage if you use any of my links to purchase products I use for my projects .  Please see Affiliate and Product Disclosure tab above

I have the watercolour bug at the moment and have been reluctant to put my Altenew 36 Half Pans set of Watercolors away since last week.

So forgive me for appearing a bit of a "one trick pony", but I have been attempting to perfect this watercolour technique.

It's amazing how changing just the card colour combo can alter a look.   I used the same watercolour palette as previously but just switched the card stock, opting for a lovely coral and dark grey combination to complement my "artwork".

If you haven't watched any YouTube videos by Creationsceecee, then I would highly recommend that you do if you get a moment.  Her tips and techniques for creating simple watercolours are brilliant.   I have decided that I really need to invest in some more watercolour brushes.

Instead of a stamped sentiment, I chose to use my lovely Fancy Hello Die by Altenew.   I die-cut three words and stacked them to create a focal point with great dimension.  I think it's an absolute snip at £4.99 and ever such a pretty font.

I used my Gemini Stitched Rectangle dies setting the die-cut rectangles at "jaunty" angles once more.   I really do like this technique.

I like how it all came together.  Hope you like it too.

Thank you for stopping by.   I would love for you to pop back and would be thrilled if you could think about subscribing to my blog if you haven't done so already.

That's it from me for today.   I am off to finish decorating my new craft room, which I hope to share in a blog post here sometime next week, after my new floor has been laid.

The supplies I used for today's project are from Craft Stash UK who provide free shipping in the UK for orders over £15.  Craft Stash also ship to Mainland USA, Australia, Canada and Europe.  Please see my Product List with affliated links below.

The coloured card stock I used is from Stampin' Up!   I am currently using up my old card stock.

Bye for now and ........................."happy crafting everybody"!

Altenew Watercolor - My Freestyle Flowers

This site uses affiliated links which means I will receive a small percentage if you use any of my links to purchase products I use for my projects .  Please see Affiliate and Product Disclosure tab above

This is a first for me.

I have never before made a card using anything other than stamps and/or dies.

Yesterday I felt inspired to sit and try to create something from scratch and decided to try some "gentle" painting with watercolours.   I used my Altenew 36 Half Pans set.

I admit to feeling a bit hesitant about sharing this because I am by no means artistic when it comes to picking up a paint brush and creating something from nothing, but I am quite pleased with my first attempt at making a card using my own small piece of artwork.

This card is on its way to someone who is very special to me.   Hope she likes it !!!

I need to mention that I watched a brilliant YouTube tutorial by Creationsceecee for creating easy watercolour flowers.

Thank you for stopping by.  I would love you to pop back, so please think about subscribing if you haven't done so already.

Bye for now and .........................."Happy Crafting Everybody"!

Pretty Fairy Shaker Card using Stamps and Dies from the new Faraway Forest range by Daisy Mae - Includes Process Video

This site uses affiliated links which means I will receive a small percentage if you use any of my links to purchase products I use for my projects .  Please see Affiliate and Product Disclosure tab above

Hello and welcome to today's project, which is this pretty fairy shaker card that I have designed using some of the brand new Faraway Forest range of stamps and dies by Daisy Mae.   The range was kindly sent to me by Craft Stash, in order to prepare some sample cards, ready for presentation on the Hochanda Channel on 25th January.

So if you are a fan of fairies, this product range by Daisy Mae, designed by the mega talented Clare Rowlands could be right up your street.

I have always loved making shaker cards - but I have had a few disasters in my time!    So my top tips are to make sure you create enough depth for your sequins or whatever medium you wish to use, so that they can move about freely within the "window".   I used three layers of foam adhesive tape for my card.  Also be sure to apply a Powder Tool of some sort generously around the inside edges of your window.  This will ensure that any sticky residue from your foam tape/strips is disabled so that the shaker contents don't adhere all around the sides once you have put your project together.    In my video, you will note that I apply my Powder Tool generously before popping on my sequins.  I then give them a little shake around to see if there are any "sticky" areas.  If there are, then I simply move the sequins aside and shake some more of the powder over the offending area.   Once I am happy that most of the sequins will move around freely, I stick the whole project down.  Then give it a good old sh ...... sh........ sh.........SHAKE!

I used a selection of Nuvo Alcohol Marker Pens by Tonic Studios, plus some pretty background paper from Stamperia.  Its a 12 x 12 pack of 10 double-faced sheets.

This is my step by step video showing you the process I followed in order to make my card:-

So Beautifully Organised Stationery Box Kit - Box Opening and Some Examples of How I Have Customised My Kit - PLUS MY GIVEAWAY FOR UK SUBSCRIBERS

Hello Everybody

Well it's been a little while since my last Blog Post - so Happy New Year to you !!!

Christmas has been and gone and we are well into the New Year.   I have been busy enjoying an extended Christmas break and now find myself in the early stages of creating a new craft room as I have outgrown my current one.  So I shall be dipping in and out of social media for the foreseeable future, until I have reorganised my new craft space.  Fingers crossed, I hope to be up and running by the end of this month.

In the meantime, I thought I would take a few moments to show you the beautiful stationery kit which I received from Craft Stash and share my thoughts and opinion of the kit and contents.  This is the So Beautifully Organised stationery kit

The first thing that grabbed me was the purchase price.   It's just £14.99 for the kit which contains all you need to create a beautiful Travelers Notebook.

The Travelers Notebook Cover is super sturdy and the whole kit is super pretty !!  There are two booklet inserts in the form of a slimline basic planner and another slimline book/insert which is lined and illustrated on each page with a pretty floral motif.  This is just perfect if you like journalling.  There is also a greetings card and envelope, a pretty pen with an inter-changeable tassel, plus two further tassels which can be used to decorate your inserts and the Travelers Notebook Cover.  Included in the kit are two very large and very attractive sheets of patterned paper, sheets of tissue paper, and a complimentary pack which includes strips of Washi Tape, a sticker sheet and another piece of pretty paper and plus a few pieces of ephemera.

The kit is based on designs by Helen Colebrook, who incidentally also has her own journaling range of stamps, dies, stencils etc available to order from Craft Stash UK.  I am so taken with the kit that I have invested in some of Helen's dies and stickers and am eagerly waiting for them to arrive, in order that I can get to grips with journaling, which is something that I honestly have never tried, but I intend to have a go at now that I have this beautiful Stationery Kit

I have done an unboxing video which also contains some of my own ideas for decorating my Traveler's Notebook:-

I love the kit so much that I am excited to doing my first "GIVEAWAY" !   My Giveaway is aimed at UK residents only.   I am sorry that I could not include overseas readers of my Blog or overseas viewers of my YouTube channel on this occasion.

I ordered myself a further kit which I am going to be giving it away.  So to be in with a chance to get your hands on my spare So Beautifully Organised Stationery Kit, if you are in the UK, simply leave me a comment in the comment section below and I will randomly select one name from the list of commentators.

Good luck everybody !!
