Pretty Birthday Card with Celebrate Life by Tonic Studios

I have a bunch of birthday cards to make for birthdays which are looming.  Its funny, because for our family, after Christmas, there is a lull and then bam ! It's a bit like waiting for a bus and then six of them turn up at once !!

Anyway, it gave me a nice excuse to finally get to grips with a cute set of stamps which have been lurking in my craft cupboard, waiting to be played with.

I bought the Celebrate Life stamp set when they launched last year (they are now reduced to a budget friendly £9.00!).  I liked the selection of cute little animals, different outfits, presents, cupcakes, etc., all great for celebrating birthdays.

It also gave me a chance to sit and while away some time colouring with my Nuvo Alcohol markers.

I coloured my stamped images in shades of blue pink and grey and once they were finished, I masked them off with a large oval die cut and created a blended background using my Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks.

I like the limited colour palette which I think makes for a nice cohesive effect.

This will be making its way to its recipient in the post very shortly.  Hope she likes it.

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you will pop back for a return visit.

Bye for now and .........................."happy crafting everybody!".
