My Tip/Hack for Heat Embossing Multiple Small Die-Cuts - Video Demonstration

Hi everyone.

I hope your are enjoying the weekend and today's sunshine.

Today's blog post is really about how I like to save myself time when I find I am wanting to heat emboss multiple small die-cuts for a project.   I am all for saving time and passing on tips/hacks to those who may be interested.

Heating embossing small die-cuts can be pretty fiddly and time-consuming.   I created a little short-cut for myself and thought that I would share it with you.

I have put together a quick demonstration on this video, and I do hope you find it useful if you have not come across this method before.   I have to say that this particular method is one that I have come up with myself, but if it is already out there in the big wide world of papercrafting/videos/Pinterest, then all I can say is that "great crafty minds think alike".

Anyway folks, that's about it for today.   Thanks for stopping by.  I would love you to pop back.

Bye for now and ..........................."happy crafting everybody!"

Ballet Diarama using Fabulous New Paper Discovery Dies

Hello everyone, and happy weekend!

I wanted to share a project which I recently created using dies from the fabulous new Paper Discovery collection of dies.

If you thought creating diaramas was tricky or daunting, think again !

Both Olga Direktorenko (the designer behind the brand) and CraftWorld's Lou Collins demonstrated how easy it is to create the basic box shape during yesterday's first ever CraftWorld Live.

There are various die sets which coordinate with the Quintessential Conservatory dies, and I have used several for this cute girly project.   I also used the new Silhouette Dies for the ballerinas, together with the Interior Panels and the Outside Additions sets.

You can let your creativity run wild, using some or all of the collection.

I do hope you like this project.   I meant to say - it folds flat too !!

See Yesterdays CraftWorld Live video here:-

Anyway folks, that's it from me for today.   Thank you for stopping by.

Have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend.

Bye for now and ................................. and "happy crafting!"

Blended Floral Mandala with Foil Accents

Hi everyone.   I hope you are well and enjoying the beautiful weather.   It does occur to me that it would be lovely to upsticks and move some of my crafty bits and pieces into the garden and watch the Robins !    We have two pairs and I spy a few babies.

Today I have a card to share that I like to think is clean, simple and unfussy.

I used my beautiful Floral Mandala Stencil by Apple Blossom Designs and did some blending using a selection of my Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink Pads.   I do love gold foil accents on a crisp white base, which I think adds a sophisticated element to the simple design of my card.

I used my Fine Alphabet Dies by Altenew and my Birthday Wishes stamp set by Bright Rosa for the sentiment.

I am keeping it short and sweet today, but I hope you like it.

Thank you for looking and please pop back again sometime.

Bye for now and.............................."happy crafting everybody!"

Box with Fun Flower Topper & My latest Video Exclusive to CraftWorld Subscribers Only

Hi everybody and welcome to today's blog post. I hope you are all doing OK.

I recently created this gift box which has a gorgeous fun flower topper.   It's a topper that cetainly makes an impact.  The finished box dimensions are 4-7/8" x 4-7/8 (w) x 2" (d), so it's a fair old size.

EXCLUSIVE VIDEO DEMONSTRATION AVAILABLE TO SUBSCRIBERS OF CRAFTWORLD
The flower topper was created by using two heart shaped dies in differing sizes.   You need twelve die-cuts in each size.  I used the gorgeous Simply Spots Paper Pad by Daisy Mae Designs.

Both the dies and the paper pad are available to purchase as a bundle from Craft Stash UK for £9.99,  This offer runs from today through to 27th May, and is exclusive to CraftWorld subscribers only.  The recommended retail price for the two combined would normally be £11.99, so I think that £9.99 for both the paper pad and the set of dies represents absolutely brilliant value for money.

I did share here on my blog recently that I am now one of the Experts on the fabulous CraftWorld website, and that as such, I would be sharing some content that would be exclusive to CraftWorld subscribers only.    That being the case, this video will not be available on my YouTube channel, so if you are interested in viewing it and have not subscribed to CraftWorld yet, then I would be thrilled if you would do so.  It is free to join.  You will find forums, competitions and challenges and much much more.  It's a fantastic site if you enjoy crafting.  There are many groups that you can join.  Click on the photo link below to be taken the website:-

Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace May Die of the Month

Hi everyone.  I hope all is well with you in craftland.

I received my Amazing Paper Grace May Die of the Month which goes by the very grand name, the Fleur de Lis Grandeur Fold Over Die.

I mulled over for a little while different designs and ideas.   I thought the set would lend itself very well to a box project and it would indeed.   But, the idea I have come up with is ......................... invitations!     So that is what I have made with my APG May Die of the Month.

The front has been layered in deep pink and gold on a white card base which is 4-1/4" square.   I used the flower that comes with the set to decorate the front, die cutting it first in gold card stock, and then using flowering foam to make the two top layers of the flower.   The leaves are not part of the kit.  I used my Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Venise Lace die set for those.

Inside you have the usual space for wording your invitation.  I printed mine off, before adhering it.

I made a pocket for the inside right-hand side for placing an RSVP inside (there are no letter/word dies included with the APG May Die of the Month.  I sourced mine from my crafty stash)

I guess that if you were making invitations for a wedding, you could include a Menu Selection too.  Also, you could colour co-ordinate wedding invitations to match the colour theme of your wedding.

It's a simple idea, but the intricacy and the delicate looking nature of the dies make it rather special.

I like it and I hope you do too.

The Amazing Paper Grace May Die of the Month set is limited to the month of May only.

If you would like to find out more about the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month Club click here.

Spellbinders also run several Value Club options, which are available to those wishing to join multiple clubs at once.  To find out more, click here

Thank you for stopping by today.  I do hope you will pop back again.

Bye for now and ........................"happy crafting everybody!".

Time for a Birthday ! Using Time on Your Hands Die & Stamp Set by Paper Discovery

I have the Time on Your Hands Die and Stamp Set by Paper Discovery available from Craft Stash UK.

If you find making masculine cards a bit of challenge, well then this set is a very useful addition to your craft stash.

It was hubby's birthday a couple of weeks ago, and this is the card I came up with.   I have to say that it was ever so quick and easy to put together.   I think cogs and timepieces make great themes for masculine cards for all occasions.

I used some alphabet dies and also created the little black strip with the words "Old Timer!" on my computer, before printing, cutting and including on my card.   I won't tell you just how old my "Old Timer" is, other than he will be celebrating a significant birthday next year.

Anyway, I am happy to report that he loved his card, so much so, that it has only just come down.

Well I will keep it short and sweet today and hope that you like my card. The Time on Your Hands die and stamp set , although currently out of stock, is available to order from Craft Stash when re-stocked, if you live in the UK, US Mainland, Australia, Canada and Europe.  Delivery is free in the UK for orders over £15.   You can follow my link and request to be notified when back in stock if you wish to add this set to your crafty stash.

Bye for now my crafty friends and ........................................"happy crafting everybody!".

Butterflies Border Rainbow

Hi everyone - I hope the start of the week finds you all well and coping with lockdown, wherever you may be.

Today I have another rainbow inspired project to share.

I recently received my eagerly awaited collection of new Spectrum Noir Classique Alcohol Marker Pens and was dying to put them to good use.

So I used my Butterflies Border die set by Bright Rosa and created a pretty rainbow of butterflies. I love how you can use these dies to create lovely borders on your card projects, or you can use them as I have done here to create a cool shadow border around my entire intricate die-cut butterflies.

The sentiment is from the Bright Rosa Birthday Wishes stamp set

I am really pleased with how this turned out.  I think the black background really makes the focal point pop!  I decided to embellish it a little further using some enamel dots from my stash.

Hope you like it and thank you very much for taking the time to stop by for a visit today.

Ta ta for now and ..............................."happy crafting everybody!".

Stay safe.

A Little Dotty Rainbow of Butterflies

Hello everyone and so begins a new week in lockdown.   I wonder how you have been spending your crafty time throughout the weeks so far.  Have you been using it as an opportunity to hone your crafting skills or perhaps to discover new crafts?

Crafting is a great distraction from these stressful times.  Yesterday, whilst the day was at times a little overcast, I decided to put together something bright an summery and cheerful.   I do love butterflies and I love polka dots, so what nicer way to combine the two than this ?

I recently bought the lovely Simple Spots 8 x 8 inch paper pad by Daisy Mae.  I love the pretty rainbow of pastel shades and I love the price too - only £5.99 !!   I have used this pad so much in the short time I have had it that I can see that I will need to invest in another pack.

The butterflies are from the Bright Rosa Butterflies Border die set and my die-cut sentiment is also from Bright Rosa.  It is part of the "Friends Words" die set.   You may be able to make out that I chose to die cut it twice, once in black and once in white and then slightly offset and stacked it to create maximum impact.

If you weren't already aware, these products are from Craft Stash UK and are available to order if you live in the UK, US Mainland, Canada, Australia and Europe.  It's simple to order  by clicking on my affiliate links and selecting your currency.  Delivery is free in the UK for orders over £15.  If you are placing your first order with Craft Stash, you will receive a 20% discount.

I am really pleased with this card.  It's a simple idea, but I think it's very effective.   Hope you like it.

Thanks for visiting, and I would love you to pop back.

Bye for now and ........................"happy crafting everybody".

A Bridge Fold Card With 3D Flower Die-Cuts

I have been looking at fun folds and decided to have another go a making a bridge fold card (this style is also often referred to as a U fold card).

I love this style of card, which folds flat to fit in a C5 envelope.

The card is cut at 8 x 4-1/4 inches and is scored at 1-1/4, 2-1/2, 5-1/2 and 6-3/4 inches on the long side.

There are five decorative panels which are from the Simple Spots Paper 8 x 8 inch Pad by Daisy Mae.  I love the little polka dots sheets which come in an array of pretty colours.  Four panels are cut at 1 x 4 inches and the centre panel measures 2-3/4 x 4 inches.

I used the Bright Rosa Sunflower Band die set to create the bridge that joins the card, selecting the smaller of the two bands.  It is perfect for this size of card.  I love this die set because the flowers are so large and create such great and dramatic impact.   The small flowers which decorate the right-hand panel are from the Bright Rosa Sunflower Border die set.

It is worth mentioning that Craft Stash are running a special offer, whereby if you purchase the Sunflower Bundle, it will cost you only £16.99!  Now that really is a bargain price.

I decided to add a nice 3D butterfly.  This is also a Bright Rosa die from the Butterflies Border die set.

My die-cut sentiment is from the Fun Accessory die set by Simply Made Crafts.

I am pretty chuffed with this cute and colourful card. There is space on the reverse of the centre panel to stamp on an appropriate greeting and write a message to your recipient too.

Hope you like it.

Thank you for stopping by and please do pop back.

Bye for now and .............................."happy stamping everybody!".
