However, I came across some beautiful napkins recently and they left me inspired and ready to dive in and make my very first Napkin Card and ......................... this is it :-
I have to say that the creative experience was an extremely enjoyable one and it was not half as fiddly as I had anticipated all those years back.
I found a super easy way to transfer my piece of paper napkin to card stock. I simply used some Stix2 Anything A4 Double Sided Adhesive Tape Sheets. I cut mine to the required size and applied it to a piece of white card stock cut to the same size. Then I removed two layers from my napkin which I also cut to the required size for my card, leaving just the single top sheet. I peeled the backing sheet off the adhesive tape on my card stock and very carefully applied my napkin, top side facing up, and then gently swept over it with my bone folder to remove any small creases and ................voila! I had a base on which to apply all my collective elements. I used some sweet little paper flowers, die cut gold leaves, a wooden shaped frame, some ribbon and heat embossed sentiment.
I love how the finished card feels - kind of like fabric.
This card making technique has really inspired me to have ago at some other styles of card, using these napkins. They are just far too pretty for people to use to wipe their fingers on at the dinner table !!
Hope you like today's project and I hope you will pop back again soon.
Thanks for looking. Bye for now and ...................."happy crafting everybody!".
