Soft Distress Oxide Blending on Pearlescent Card Stock

I love this Blushing Pink Pearlescent card stock by Tonic Studios and decided that it would be nice to add some soft distress oxide blending to the embossed centre focal point of my card.  For this I used my Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink pads.   I wiped over the blended piece with a piece of kitchen roll once I had completed the blending to remove any excess surface ink.

I used the Fancy Floral Garden Embossing Folder by Chloe together with the coordinating Summer Bloom stamp set and Summer Blooms Elements Die Set which I heat embossed with WOW! Opaque Bright White Super Fine Embossing Powder.   The vellum leafy elements are from my mixed craft stash of leafy dies.  I think they add to the overall softness of the look I was aiming to achieve.

I meant to add that the frame around my centrepiece was die-cut using my Gemini Stitch Edge Circle Dies.

I am pretty happy with how this one turned out and I know just who I am sending it to.  Hope she likes it.

Thanks for stopping by.   My blogging has been a little sporadic lately, but that is because I have been juggling a lot of different ideas and opportunities and working conditions.  I hope things are back on an even keel very shortly, and would like to thank my regular subscribers for sticking with me.

Bye for now and ...................."happy crafting everybody!"

Linda xx

  1. Linda, your designs are always beautifully classy and different, and even if we don't have the exact supplies that you have, can be used as inspiration to do similar, with tweaks, which is what I often do. Thank you.
