Have you visited the CraftWorld website yet? Well I did earlier today and was inspired by a beautifully stencilled card, so much so that I decided to while away some time using my Lace Layering Stencil from the Tim Holtz Collection by Stampers Anonymous.
I wanted something soft and pretty, so I used some Blushing Pink Pearlescent Craft Perfect card stock by Tonic Studios which is a really beautiful peachy pink.
To compliment this I selected three Shades of Distress Oxide Inks in Carved Pumpkin, Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry.
The colours all blended beautifully and I was able to achieve a rather pretty and varied tone on tone effect.
For the topper I used my Stitched and Pierced Nesting Oval Creative Dies, my Landmark Occasions Collection Dies by Card Making Magic, the Friend Words Dies by Bright Rosa and my Sunflower Border Dies, also by Bright Rosa.
To give the frame around the topper some impact, I also shaded the card stock with the Distress Oxides.
My card base is 7"x5" inches and the pearlescent layer is 6-3/4" x 4-3/4" inches.
I love how this turned out and I thank Susanne over at CraftWorld for today's inspiration.
I hope you like it. Thanks for visiting and I hope you will be back for a return visit sometime soon.
Bye for now and ...................."happy crafting everybody!"
Linda
