Foiled Happy Birthday Card using the Gemini Foil Press

I have not really done much foiling lately and thought it was time to remedy that!  After all, my Gemini Foilpress was an expensive treat to myself a little while ago and I promised myself I would make great use of it.  The truth is, I have been involved with Design Team stuff , commissions and requests for projects and just felt a little overloaded (in a good way !).

So, having managed to get some stuff out of the way that has been pre-occupying me, I enjoyed some proper downtime playing with my foils and stamps.

The gorgeous Pretty Peonies Foil Stamp used for today's project was a much wanted Christmas present.   I loved it the moment I saw it.  It appears that it is no longer available from  Crafters Companion, but a quick Google search will bring up some stockists, if you like it.

The Happy Birthday sentiment is also a Gemini Foil Stamp  I decided to try some Gemini Papercraft Foil in Silver Shimmer on dark grey card stock and think the result is quite sophisticated and stylish. I love the way it gently shimmers, which I think is really clear from the topper.  I used Gemini Stitch Edge Circle Dies for that.

My Gemini Foilpress did all the hard work on this card.  I had it made in probably 10 minutes !  I shall try it again, putting together some different designs and ideas.  And what's more, I shall use the same Pretty Peonies Foil Stamp and see what different looks I can achieve.  I promise to report back with the results.

That's it for today folks.  Thanks for stopping by.

Off for a coffee and a rummage through my card stock.

Bye for now and ......................."happy crafting everybody!"
