Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Twist Squares Etched Dies

Hi folks and Happy Sunday!

I thought I would follow on today from my Blog Post on Wednesday which focused on the beautiful Splendid Trilliant Etched Dies which are part of the Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Twist Collection designed by Becca Feeken.

Well today I am concentrating on the beautiful Elegant Twist Squares.  The elegant twist is the lovely braided edges of these dies which look fabulous when combined and layered with other dies.   But, for today's card I chose to let the braided shares shine by simply using them on their own as three elegant frames on my slimline card base,

I teamed the pretty pink background papers with some mulberry paper roses.  The white leaves are from the A2 Snip-it Grid and Calendar Creator which was the Amazing Paper Grace die of the month for June.

The foiled sentiment on my card is from the Borders and Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plates which are part of Elegant Twist collection.

Next up is a cute little chocolate treat box which I designed using the same papers and the Elegant Twist square frames.  You will note that this time, I omitted the nested centre squares which featured in my slimline card.  This accentuates how delicate and intricate the braided edges of the squares look when used on their own.

The box is very simple to make.  You need a piece of 11x4-3/8" inch card stock scored on the long side at 2-5/8, 5-1/4, 7-7/8 and 10-1/2 inches.  Score on the short side @ 2-5/8 inches.   Cut away the small rectangle (shaded in the photo below) and cut along the short score lines.

I do hope you like today's projects and I hope you pop back again.   I have some exciting new dies designed by Becca which I will be having a little play with and I will be sharing the results here, next week.

Bye for now and ............................"happy crafting everybody!"

Golf Themed Card - Apple Blossom A Hole in One Die and Stamp Set

Hi folks

I have a cute little card to share today.    This one is perfect for  golf enthusiasts !  I used the new A Hole in One Die and Stamp Set by Apple Blossom  So if you are a fan of kinetic cards, then this could very well be right up your street.

My card was great fun to make.  You can see in this sequence of photos how the golf ball slides from the golf club and into the hole !!

There are elements within the die set to help create a penny slider, together with dies in the form of a flag pole, golf balls, golf clubs, caddy, trophy plus sentiments.   All in all there are 10 dies and 12 stamps.  At just £12.99 for both the dies and the co-ordinating stamps, the set represents great value for money.

I used my Spectrum Noir Classique Alcohol Marker Pens to colour my die cuts.

Available to order from CraftStash in UK, US Mainland, Australia, Canada and Europe, with free delivery in the UK for orders over £15.

I have more from this fun collection to share in some upcoming blog posts so I would love you to pop back.

Ciao for now and ..........................."happy crafting everyone!"

Amazing Paper Grace - Splendid Trilliant Etched Dies

I have two pretty projects to share today, both made using an assortment of dies from the Elegant Twist Collection.  A feature of these dies is they cut elegant twists and scalloped edges in nesting layers which makes them very versatile.

First up is a simple and elegant greetings card.  I created graduated layers using different shapes from the collection together, but with the addition of the really pretty intricate Splendid Trilliant etched die.  It is perfect for adding a touch of ornate elegance and class, either with layered projects or as a  stand alone focal point.

I used some pretty marbled effect papers for each of today's projects(details below).  Gold foil card accents highlight each layer.

The collection also features Borders and Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plates which I used to add sentiments to my card and bag.

Next up I used dies from the collection to decorate my handmade gift bag, teamed this time with the Elegant Twist Circle dies, the Splendid Trilliant Etched Die is the star of the show.

I think this die turns the gift bag into something very special - it would be lovely for presenting gifts to celebrate special occasions like weddings and engagements.   That's the beauty of Becca's designs.  They have a romanticism about them which I love.

I do hope you like my projects for today.

Thank you for stopping by, and I would love you to pop back.

Ciao for now folks and ........................... "happy crafting!"

Lucky me !   I am a member of the CraftStash Design Team and that being the case, I get to get a sneak peak of lots of new products and help to create samples to show just how versatile they can be.

One of the new collections that really caught my imagination was the new Lost in Music sets from Paper Discovery, designed by Olga Direktorenko.   I loved her last Quintessential Conversatory release and this new Lost in Music Collection can be coordinated with that.

I had a very tight deadline to meet in creating my latest samples and will share a few snapshots here.

The new collection includes jazz musicians, musical instruments, a piano, keyboard, musical notes, stencils and embossing folders.   Clicking on my photos will take you the website page at CraftStash, setting out all the new sets, bundles, etc.

Tempted?

For you information, CraftStash are giving away a free bundle of your choice, worth £13.98, when you spend over £30 on the new Paper Discovery Lost in Music collection !   If you are ordering from the UK, delivery is free for orders over £15.   You can also order from US Mainland, Australia, Canada and Europe.  Simply select your currency when you visit the website.

Ring a Ding Ding ! Dialling Up The Amazing Paper Grace August Die of the Month !

I love receiving the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month kits to create projects with,  and this month's Pop Up 3D Vignette Telephone is an absolute gem of a kit !

The little telephone (actually it's a very decent 5" x 4-1/4" inches approx) is perfect for creating card fronts, stand alone projects and treat holders.

I decided to create two projects to share with you today, the first being this gorgeous little vignette which holds 4 After Eight Dinner Mints.  My example made in Pink decorative papers would be perfect for bridal showers or baby showers !   The finished vignette is gorgeous and feels very tactile.  I want to keep picking up the little telephone receivers !!

I also used the telephone to decorate this card.   What a great way of reminding people to stay in touch, particularly during these very testing times that we find ourselves living in.

I do hope you like my projects.

The Amazing Paper Grace August Die of the Month set is limited to the month of August only.

New Video Demonstration - Triangular Gift Box With Vellum Wrap and Shaped Flower Topper

It's been a little while, but I am back with a video demonstration today.

I recently bought the beautiful Rose Mallow Flower Stamp Set with coordinating dies by Chloe's Creative Cards.  There are three different sized flowers in the set with three matching dies.   What is lovely about this set is that Chloe has made it super easy to line up your stamps and dies to make die-cutting a doddle.  If you watch the demonstration you will see what I mean.

I recently watched a demonstration by Chloe where she showed several different ways to shape the Rose Mallow flowers.  It was so inspiring that I decided to have a go a recreating one and added an extra layer.  The result was so pretty that I decided to make a triangular box (often referred to as tent style boxes) to really show it off.

I used some gorgeous pearlescent card stock by Tonic Studios which has a gentle shimmer.  I added further shimmer to my flowers using a clear Wink of Stella pen.

The leafy dies that I used are not part of the set.  I purchased these from the Craft Box a little while ago, and here are my unaffiliated links to the UK and USA websites:

UK: www.craftbox.co.uk and USA: www.craftboxusa.com.

So this is my latest video demonstration which I hope you enjoy:

I should add that at the time I filmed this demonstration, Craft Stash had the stamp and die in stock, but obviously it is proving very popular because it is now out of stock !   But worry not, you can subscribe to the CraftStash website using the link I have provided and leave an email address in the box provided for the Rose Mallow Flower link and you will be notified as soon as it is back in stock.   The die is available to order in the UK, US Mainland, Canada, Australia and Europe from CraftStash.   Delivery is free in the UK for orders over £15.

Anyway folks, I do hope you like this pretty project.   Thanks for stopping by.  My blogging and creating has been a bit lean lately.   Hubster and I have taken time out for a "lockdown holiday" meaning ...... we have been partaking in some much needed DIY and garden maintenance over the last two weeks !!!

Ciao for now and ...................."happy crafting everybody!"
