I hope your weekend is going well.
I am dropping by today to share a couple of projects showcasing the beautiful and versatile Picot Petite Ovals Etched Dies which are from the new Picot Petite Collection designed by Becca Feeken.
The dies are great for creating nested toppers, for using as frames within your projects and for creating delicate intricate sections within your designs.
I wanted to use papers in differing designs for this particular card and used check paper for my oval inserts against and spotty background layer. I think mixing papers in the same colourway is a nice subtle way of stepping up your designs.
Of course you don't need to limit your creativity with these dies to just cards. I had a little play and came up with this cute little gift holder for a bath bomb gift. I used the ovals to create the back and front and also used the smallest plain oval to cover up any unsightly joins on the inside of the little holder. I also used my Picot Petite Rectangles Etched Dies to create decorative trims on the sides of my bath bomb holder.
I thought it would be fun to use some pretty faceted glass beads for the base of the holder, simply glueing them into place with a hot glue gun. As there is very little weight they hold up well as a unique and pretty way to decorate the treat holder. I have not used them in this way before. So watch this space, I think I feel a little video demonstration might be in the offing for this one. What do you think? Yay or nay?
Well that's it from me for today. I hope you like what I have shared and that you will pop back again soon.
Bye for now and ............................"happy crafting everybody!".
