Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Grand Pocket Dies - A Card and Pocket Box Video Demonstration

Hi folks

I hope you are doing OK and have been enjoying some down time during this somewhat strange Christmas period we find ourselves in.

I took that time to enjoy what I love to do best, papercrafting.

I have had the beautiful Candlewick Grand Pocket Dies for sometime now and spent Boxing Day getting creative with them.

I made a pretty card and designed a pocket box which I am pleased to share with you today.

I love how the large pocket die can be used to create a beautiful and intricate card background.  I used it to create multiple pastel layers for this "Thank You" card.

The sentiment for this card is from the More Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plates.

I decided to create what I have decided to name a "Pocket Box" which is this loved gift box idea.  It literally is an ornate pocket which holds a simple gift box/treat box.   It's an idea which I had mulling around in my head for a little while, and I love how successful it was turning it from a creative idea into reality.

It's really simple to make but looks pretty special.  I used my Elegant Twist Squares Etched Dies for the box base and this compliments the Candlewick Grant Pocket Die perfectly.

I have made a video demonstration and hope that you can find some time to have a little look and discover just how simple it is to create this special presentation box.

I hope you like the idea.  If you do decide to have a go at one, I would love for you to share it with me over on my crafty Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/papercraftwithcrafty

That's it from me for today.  I do hope you will pop back as I have a somewhat unusual but fun project that I am really excited about, coming up very soon.

As a little footnote I would like to advise that recent samples of this beautiful Candlewick Grand Pocket die has meant that the demand for it has been extremely high and there are now only a few left in the market place.  Spellbinders will not be restocking it.

However you can find links here at Amazon UK https://amzn.to/3rxtbwr and other independent stockists in the UK and USA.

Bye for now and .........................."happy crafting everybody!".

Amazing Paper Grace Just Bee-cause Glimmer Hot Foil Plate and Die Set

Hi folks

Today I thought I would share something  bright and cheery.  My projects today showcase the very cute Just Bee-cause Glimmer Hot Foil Plate and Die set which is part of the Sweet Cardlets Collection designed by Becca Feeken.

I foiled my little busy bees with black Glimmer Foil and die-cut them using the coordinating die which is included in this set.   I also foiled the honeycomb pattern, before liberally splatting it with some watercolour paint from my Jane Davenport Glitz-Sea Palette ArtEssentials Watercolors Set.

The honeycomb pattern has been framed using the Elegant Twist Squares Etched Dies and I added a further splash of colour using my Cinch and Go V Flower dies.

I thought that a fun way to showcase the set would be to foil directly onto this little treat box.   So I scored all my panels, before foiling onto the front panel of my box. I used my Cinch and Go Flowers III for the closure on my box.   The "Birthday Wishes" sentiment is from the Everyday Wishes Glimmer Hot Foil Plate.

I really enjoyed using this set.  I love it and I particularly like the choice of sentiments included with it.  See below:-

Hope you like these little creations and thanks for taking the time to stop by and look.

Bye for now and ........................"happy crafting everybody!".

Amazing Paper Grace Filigree Crescent Band Glimmer Hot Foil Plate

Hi folks

Thanks for stopping by.

Today I am sharing two projects which I have recently created using the beautiful Filigree Crescent Band Glimmer Hot Foil Plate which is part of the Delicate Impressions Collection designed by Becca Feeken.

I really felt that a slimline card would be perfect for showing off the delicate and fine foiled impressions which this set produces.   The foiled sentiment  is also included in the set along with a couple of others, which you can mix and match to suit.

If you look closely you may just pick out that I added subtle watercolouring within some of the fine lines and for this I used my Brights ArtEssentials Jane Davenport Watercolor Palette

I also used my Elegant Twist Circles Etched Dies to create the topper for the sentiment and added a pretty swirl using the Shapreabilities Candlewick Rosebud Etched Dies.

I also made this little treat bag, this time opting for silver foiling.  I kept it all very simple adding a few sparkly gems to subtly enhance the beautiful foiling.

I am pretty happy with how these turned out - I am always in my element when I get to play with my Glimmer Hot Foil System

Hope you like them.

This is what is included in the Filigress Crescent Band Glimmer Hot Foil Plate set:-

That's it from me for today.   Off now to cook a nice tasty roast dinner.  Stay safe everybody.

Bye for now and ...................."happy crafting everybody!".

Easy Foiled Gift Boxes using Amazing Paper Grace Glimmer Hot Foil Plates - Video Demonstration

Hi everyone

Today I have a video demonstration to share with you.

I created these pretty Foiled Gift Boxes with decorative eyelets to facilitate closing the boxes with decorative bows.

I used the very lovely Amazing Paper Grace Diamonetta Background Glimmer Foil Plates, which are part of Becca Feekens new Delicate Impressions Collection for my pink box.  The blue box which also features in my video demonstration uses the pretty Fanfare Border Glimmer Hot Foil Plate.

The Diamonetta Foil Plate is my favourite out of the entire collection.  It foils beautifully and you have the ability to repeat the pattern over a larger area should you so wish.

The boxes are very easy to put together and I think the foiling makes them look extra special.

I used the WRMK Crop a Dile and Eyelet Setter with some large gold eyelets and I love how it finishes off the box.  Of course, you don't have to use eyelets - you could just punch some holes.  I just wanted to add a little touch of luxury.

I am thrilled with my boxes.  I hope you like them and if you would like to see my demonstration and maybe have a go yourself, this is my latest video demonstration:-

Thanks for stopping by and please do pop back again.

Bye for now and ........................."happy crafting everybody!".

Diamonetta Background Glimmer Hot Foil Plate from Delicate Impressions Collection by Becca Feeken

Hi folks

Today I have a couple of projects to share which showcase the really pretty Diamonetta Background Glimmer Hot Foil Plate which is part of the Delicate Impressions Collection by Becca Feeken.

I think its a lovely way to add a subtle foiled background to your cardmaking/3D projects.

I used it for this pretty pink and gold foiled card and love how elegant it looks on the pink card background.

I used my Picot Petite Rectangle and Circle Etched Dies to create layers.   The foiled sentiment is from the Heart Felt Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate and Die set.

I also used the Diamonetta Glimmer Hot Foil Plate to make this pretty desk calendar, this time opting for pink foiling on watercolour card stock.   I used my Jane Davenport ArtEssentials Brights Watercolor Palette to watercolour a repeating pattern, and love how it turned out.

I think this is my favourite Glimmer Hot Foil Plate from Becca's Delicate Impressions Collection.  It is very easy to use you can use it to repeat the pattern across wider pieces of card if you so wish.

Well I hope you approve of today's projects.  I had fun making them.

Thanks for looking and please do pop back again.

Bye for now and ..................."happy crafting everybody!"

Hi everyone.

A little while back I shared a couple of projects made using the the Amazing Paper Grace Filigree Quartet Dies.

One of those projects was this cool DIY clear treat box.   I was dying to share a video demonstration but had run out of my thick clear acetate, so have been patiently waiting for some to be delivered.

These would make fabulous decorative boxes for Christmas.

I do hope you like them and if you would like to see how they are made and have a go yourself, this is my latest video demonstration:-

Rose Garden Promise - The Amazing Paper Grace December 2020 Die of the Month

Today I am introducing the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month for December 2020, Rose Garden Promise.

Becca Feeken of Amazing Paper Grace sent me these beautiful dies to create with.

Becca shares her inspiration for this 5x7-inch frame-worthy card front that resembles the look of stained glass.  She says, " 'God gave us memory so that we might have roses in December,' a quote by James M Barrie. It is precisely that quote that inspired me to think of roses at the end of the year. It has much to do with the promise of an approaching spring, buds bursting forward, and the gift of hope.  As one who loves rituals, I finished off 2019 with a die template that featured roses and decided it was worthwhile to pay them homage at the end of 2020."

Isn't it only fitting to go forward with hope for the future and for new and worthwhile things that will break through.  From the entire Amazing Paper Grace Creative Team, let this be a beautiful end to your year; we hope that through making, it brings with it the bonus of lovely memories.

We want to inspire you with different combinations using the December Die of the Month, Rose Garden Promise etched dieThese are a few of our ideas!

  1. Stained Glass
  2. Wedding Card
  3. Shaker Card
  4. Anniversary Card
  5. Window Card
  6. Valentine's Day Card

I bet you can come up with a few, share them in a comment!

There are four (4) dies included in the Rose Garden Promise

My Project Today using Rose Garden Promise

I decided to make a card using Aqua Blue, Navy Blue and Gold accents.   The centre panel provides room for a sizeable sentiment and I opted to foil my on a slant using the Heart Melt Glimmer Hot Foil Plates and Die set SKU-218.

I think the Die of the Month is so beautiful that it necessitates little if any embellishing, so I kept it fairly simple, applying a simple satin bow with a sparkly gem.

Designer Tip:  If you can, try to keep the flower and leaf die-cuts in the large piece  that they are cut from.  Remove the large non flower/leaf sections and then apply a little glue to the back of the flower and leaves.  Hold that over the piece that will be taking the inserts and pop each section into place.   It is best to work on one section at a time.

I occurred to me when I was making my card that this set would be perfect for creating a photo mount for special photos.

I have one such special photo taken of my lovely daughter when she was all dressed up and ready for her school prom.   I chose a pretty colour pallette and am absolutely thrilled with how this turned out:-

She really is my little English Rose and the dies are just perfect for framing this lovely pose, taken as she was on her way off to the prom.

Make A Wish Card! Create your own Customised Sentiments

It was my birthday recently and I decided to treat myself to the fabulous Gemini Traditional Type Foil Stamp Dies from Crafters Companion.

They are big and they are bold and really do make a fabulous statement on your cards and projects.

If you are fan of clean and simple, like me, then these are perfect.

I used mine to create my own sentiment to accompany the pretty little fairy on my card which is the  Dandelion Elf stamps and die set by Daisy Mae.   I liked the idea of lining up each line of the sentiment against the right-hand edge of my card.

I used my Spectrum Noir Classique Alcohol Marker Pens to colour my fairy.

This is the first time I have used my new Gemini Traditional Foil Stamp Dies, but it certainly won't be the last.  I love them.

That's it from me for today folks. Thanks for stopping by and please do pop back for a return visit.

Bye for now and .............................."happy crafting everybody!"
