I hope you are doing OK and have been enjoying some down time during this somewhat strange Christmas period we find ourselves in.
I took that time to enjoy what I love to do best, papercrafting.
I have had the beautiful Candlewick Grand Pocket Dies for sometime now and spent Boxing Day getting creative with them.
I made a pretty card and designed a pocket box which I am pleased to share with you today.
I love how the large pocket die can be used to create a beautiful and intricate card background. I used it to create multiple pastel layers for this "Thank You" card.
The sentiment for this card is from the More Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plates.
I decided to create what I have decided to name a "Pocket Box" which is this loved gift box idea. It literally is an ornate pocket which holds a simple gift box/treat box. It's an idea which I had mulling around in my head for a little while, and I love how successful it was turning it from a creative idea into reality.
It's really simple to make but looks pretty special. I used my Elegant Twist Squares Etched Dies for the box base and this compliments the Candlewick Grant Pocket Die perfectly.
I have made a video demonstration and hope that you can find some time to have a little look and discover just how simple it is to create this special presentation box.
I hope you like the idea. If you do decide to have a go at one, I would love for you to share it with me over on my crafty Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/papercraftwithcrafty
That's it from me for today. I do hope you will pop back as I have a somewhat unusual but fun project that I am really excited about, coming up very soon.
As a little footnote I would like to advise that recent samples of this beautiful Candlewick Grand Pocket die has meant that the demand for it has been extremely high and there are now only a few left in the market place. Spellbinders will not be restocking it.
However you can find links here at Amazon UK https://amzn.to/3rxtbwr and other independent stockists in the UK and USA.
Bye for now and .........................."happy crafting everybody!".
Linda
