Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Sweet Pea Outline Stamp Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($200 in Total Prizes)

Hello folks.

Today am delighted to be participating in the Altenew Paint-A-Flower Sweet Pea Blog Hop to showcase this pretty new outline Paint-A-Flower stamp set.  We will all be sharing lots of ideas for using the stamps.  There are also details of a fabulous Giveaway.  So, be sure to hop along with us.

Thank you to Juhi Khanna for directing you here.  Next up is Nancy Souza.  Alternatively you can begin this hopping journey directly from the Altenew Card Blog.  The full list of blog hop participants can be found below.

For my card today I used watercolour card stock and did a bit of blending, masking, stamping and watercolouring.  My card is 5 x 7 inches.

I began by applying an oval mask to the centre of my watercolour card stock.   Then I blended some crisp dye inks in shades of Citrus Burst, Fresh Lemon, Marigold and Ruby Red from the top of my card to the bottom with my large Altenew blending tools.

Then I lifted some of the colour by flicking some droplets of water across the blended base and dabbing with a paper towel to create some splatters.

Once the card was completely dry, I removed the oval mask and I using a stamp positioner, I  stamped the large sweetpea outline within the centre of the white oval.  I left the stamp in the stamp positioner.  Then I used a selection of complimentary colours from my Altenew Watercolour Paint 36 Colour Pan Set to colour the petals and leaves.

Once this image was completely dry, I popped it back into the stamp positioner and re-stamped the outline image using Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink.

I used a layer of black card stock to make the top layer really pop and finished by heating embossing the white sentiment onto a piece of black card stock.

I really enjoyed making this card as it combined several different techniques, which was fun.

The illustration below shows the complete stamp set:-

Amazing Paper Grace December 2021 Die of the Month - Enchanting Pocket Card, Tag and Envelope

Hi folks, and welcome to today's Blog post which is all about the Amazing Paper Grace December 2021 Die of the Month.

I happen to love this kit, because not only do you have beautiful dies for making fabulous cards and box designs, you also have a die to make cute little envelope style gift card holders.   I think this is great if, like me, you find you regularly send gift cards and vouchers in place of presents.

And.... why not co-ordinate your gift card holder with your greetings card, as I have done here with this birthday set.

The foiled sentiment on my card is from the useful Everyday Sentiments II Glimmer Plate set, and I used the pretty Skybright Glimmer Foil.

I created the topper for my birthday card using the Elegant Twist Ovals Etched Dies.

The illustration below shows what is included in the set:-

You can find out more about the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month Membership by clicking my link.

Spellbinders also have several Value Clubs options available for crafters who would like to join multiple clubs at once.

That's it from me for today.

I heading on back to my craft room to create some Christmas Gift Card Holders, using this wonderful Amazing Paper Grace December 2021 Die of the Month Set.

Thanks for stopping by, and please do pop back.

Ciao for now and .................................."happy crafting everybody!"

Altenew NEW Sweet Moments Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

Hello everybody.

Today I am delighted to be hopping along with host of talented crafty folk.  Between us, we will be bringing you lots of creative ideas for using Altenew's Sweet Moments release of stamps, dies and more!!

Thank you to the lovely Erum Tasneem for directing you here.  Next up is my crafty friend

Terri Kozsler.  Alternatively, you can begin this hopping journey directly from the Altenew Card Blog.  The full list of participants can be found below.

I have three projects to share with you today.

First up is this card which I made using the pretty new Happy Petals Stamps and Die set.

I used a stamp positioner to stamp the floral image using a pale ink.  I used a selection of my Altenew Artist Marker Pens to colour it.  Then I popped it back into my stamp positioner and this time I re-stamped the image with some clear Versamark, and then applied gold embossing power which I heat set.   I always use this method when heat embossing an image.   It is said that heat embossing an image first, and then colouring it can cause damage to the nibs of your alcohol marker pens, and I don't want to run the risk of ruining mine.

I used layers of different coloured card and also used my Grid Cover Die for the background, to add texture and dimension.

Next up is the sweet (excuse the pun!) All Sweet Things Stamps and Die Set.  I love this stamp set.  My ice cream sundae is made up of many different layers of stamps.  I think Altenew's attention to detail is second to none, and I just love the cute little cherry on the top.

I added a subtle background of diagonal stripes and for this I used my Altenew Stripe Builder Stencil from my crafty stash.

I finished with a scattering of coloured sequins for a little sparkle and texture.

For my final card I combined two new products from this Sweet Moments release.  I was soooo excited when I got the notification that Altenew were releasing a Hot Foil Plate.  This is because I love to add foiling to my card projects, and this was the perfect excuse.  I predict that the new Splatter Hot Foil Plate is going to prove to be very popular.

I used it to foil my background card, and then I used my blending brush to apply a rainbow of colours.  I used a selection of Altenew Crisp Dye Inks:-

Pinkalicious
Marigold
Maple Yellow
Lime
Turquoise
Deep Iris

I thought that the stamped and die-cut sentiment from the new Colourful Soul Stamp and Die Set was just perfect for this card.

Hi everyone.

Today I am happy to be hopping with Altenew and a whole bunch of talented crafters in the Build-A-Flower Queen of the Lilies Laying Stamp and Die Blog Hop and Giveaway.  Between us, we will be sharing lots of ideas for using the the beautiful Queen of the Lilies Layering Stamp and Die Set. Thanks to Roteja Galvan for directing you here.   Next is Rachael Shedeed.  Alternatively, you can begin this hopping journey directly from the Altenew Card Blog.   The full list of blog hop participants can be found below.

I kept my colour palette very simple but actually quite dramatic.  I love how the huge bright Lilies pop against the black background.

The stamp set is made up of lots of layers and I list below what colour inks I have used for each layer:-

Flowers
  1. A1 Obsidian
  2. A2 Pink Diamond
  3. A3 Ruby Light
  4. A4 Ruby Light
  5. A5 Misty Moor
  6. A7 Grapevine
  7. A8 Misty Moor
Leaves
  1. B2 Misty Moor
  2. B3 Seaforest
  3. B4 Mangrove Root
I think there is something quite magical in watching the colours and layers building up, before revealing the final completed stamped image.

Altenew run a Build-A-Flower Monthly Subscription Plan (14%  off).

Mesmerising Pours Paper Pad and Rose Queen Die Set from Altenew - "Hi" Card

Hello.

I am back today with another card made using the lovely new Rose Queen Die Set from Altenew.  This time I used it together with paper from the Mesmerising Pours Paper Pad.   I love the dramatic colour combination of the decorative paper and colour coordinated this with card stock from my stash.

I die-cut the Rose Queen die three times; once in deep pink, once in navy and once in gold.

I glued the gold outline die to my decorative paper and then paper pieced the pink and navy card to define the leaves in blue and the petals in pink with little bits of gold for the centre of my flowers.

My card is a 5x7 inch portrait card base.

The "Hi" sentiment was created using the Mighty Alphabet Die Set.

I finished it with some irridescent gems to add a little sparkle.

I thought it would be nice to make a little treat box to coordinate with the card.

This cute cube shaped box does not require any glue and I do have an old video on my channel from which you can learn how to make the basic box:-

Well that's my lot for today.  Hope you approve of my projects and would love you to come back here for a return visit.

So, bye for now folks and ............................"happy crafting everybody!"
