Today I have a card that I put together this week. I got out my Altenew Alcohol Marker Pens and the lovely Peony Bouquet bundle and sat down to do some much needed therapeutic colouring and blending.
I cut a piece of white card stock at approximately 5 x 5-1/2 inches, placed it in my Misti stamp positioner and stamped two of the Peonies using Memento Ink in Desert Sand ink. I applied colour with my Marker Pens and placed the card stock back in the Misti and this time I re-stamped the Peonies using clear Versamark. Then I applied Papermania Copper Embossing Powder and heat set my flowers. I prefer to go back and heat emboss with the metallic powders after colouring, because if you apply your alcohol markers directly to a heat embossed image, you run the risk of spoiling your marker pens.
I stamped on the sentiment which is from the Altenew Fancy Greetings stamp set, in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
I stamped, coloured and die-cut a separate Peony and some leaves as well.
Then I took the stamped layer and used my Altenew Party Banner Die to create a nice banner topper.
My card is 5 x 7 inches.
I cut a further piece of white card stock at 4-3/4" x 6-3/4" inches and scored lines at every 1/8" on the short side. I put together my layers and added some adhesive backed foam strips on the reverse of the banner. Oh yes - and I added a white satin bow.
Ta dah ! I love how this turned out. Hope you like it too.
That's it from me for today. I am off into the garden to do some much needed tidying and pruning.
What are you up today?
Bye for now folks and ......................"happy crafting everybody!".
