Peony Bouquet from Altenew - Celebrating You Today Card

Working my way through stamps that I have had in my stash for a little while now, I picked out the beautiful Peony Bouquet bundle to create with yesterday.

The result of my labours is this pretty card which I have now earmarked for a lovely friend of mine.

I really enjoyed working with colours in differing tones, which is something that I really love about using layering stamps and, in particular, layering floral stamps.

I used my Altenew Crisp Dye inks in tones of pink, lavender, turquoise and green.  Once all the images had been stamped I die cut them and mounted them onto a black layer, which really makes the colours pop.  I used my Nested Stitched Slims Craft Dies by Lisa .  These are perfect if you like creating slimline cards with lots of layers.

The sentiment is from the Altenew Sentiment Strips 2 stamp set.   I have found that I am getting a lot of mileage from this set as there are so many different sentiments to suit all sorts of occasions.

Well that's it from me for today.  Hope you like my project today and that you will pop back for a return visit.

Bye for now and ............................."happy crafting everybody!"

  1. I am outside my comfort zone when using dark colors, but you have made a strikingly beautiful card here with the dark paper and lighter elements. It will be a keepsake for whoever receives it!
