Amazing Paper Grace Be Leave Me Etched Dies from the Stained Glass Bouquet Collection - A Gift Bag and Step by Step Pictorial

Hi everyone and welcome to today's project.

I wanted to showcase the really pretty new Be Leave Me Etched Dies which have been designed by Becca Feeken and kindly sent to me to use for project ideas.

I haven't shared a Gift Box/Bag idea in a little while and I really wanted to show how gorgeous this set is for creating a simple yet stunning focal point for a gift package.   I used the largest intricate die from the set and die-cut it in gold and white card stock and then layered them using adhesive back foam strips to create a topper with great dimension.   This topper is great for using with pretty decorative papers, making it centre stage - the star of the show !!

I thought I would a quick step by step in pictures to show how I put this gift box together:-

Step 1

Two pieces of decorative paper and two pieces of card stock measuing 6 x 6 inches.  Stick the decorative pieces to each piece of card.

Step 2

Two pieces for the sides measuring 6 x 2-1/2 inches.
Score @ 1/2 and 2 inches on the short side.  Notch @ 1-1/4 inches.
Score diagonal score lines from the bottom inside edges up to the notches  Burnish all score lines.

One piece for the base measuring 7 x 2-1/2 inches.
Score @ 1/2 and 6-1/2 inches on the long side.
Score @ 1/2 and 2 inches on the short side.
Remove each outer square (wedge each edge if you wish).

Step 3

Step 4

3.   Apply double-sided tape to each short side of the base and adhere the sides as illustraed.

4.    Then apply double-sided tape to all the longer edges as illustrated.

Step 5

Stick your decorative panels to the base as shown (making sure that your decorative piece is the right way up).

Your template should look like this on the reverse.

Step 6

Bring up the sides and stick the front to these.   Repeat with the remaining panel.

You gift bag will look like this.

Step 7

Create four hole reinforcers with coloured card.   Use a 1/4 inch circle punch to punch out four holes.
Then place a 1/2 inch circle punch over each hole and put out your reinforcers.   These will strengthen the holes of your gift bag.

Step 8

Use a pencil to mark where you want to punch your holes on the front of your gift bag.   Punch out the holes with a 1/4 inch circle punch.

Step 9

Stick your hole reinforcers over the punched holes.

Step 10

Use the punched holes on the front as guides for the holes on the back, by squeezing the bag together and tracing around the punched holes on the front.   Then punch out the holes on the back side and reinforce as per the front.

Thread some ribbon through the holes and tie a pretty decorative bow.

By the way - my gold embossed sentiment is from the Make A Scene Sentiments photopolymer stamp set designed by Becca.

Well that's it from me for today.   I do hope you like my gift bag idea.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you will pop back.

Bye for now and ......................"happy crafting everybody!".
