A Little Birdie Told Me to Make a Card in a Box !! - All Dies by Amazing Paper Grace

When I was sent the A Little Birdie Glimmer Foil Plate and Die set to create designs for the new Sweet Cardlets II Collection, I just knew I was going to have some fun with it.

I haven't made a card in a box for my Blog in a while, so this foiled project was a nice distraction.  I  used my Spectum Noir Classique Duck Egg Blue alcohol market pen to colour in my foiled pieces. This gave the images a little more clarity and dimension.

Above is an illustration of what comes with the A Little Birdie set

The basic measurements for the card stock I used are as follows:-

Piece for the front and sides 8-1/2" x 4" inches.

Long side score @ 1/2" , 3",  5-1/2" and 8" inches
Short side score @ 2-1/2"

Back panel measures 2-1/2" x 5" inches

The piece for the brace on which I mounted my birdie measures 3-1/2" x 1-3/4" inches and is scored @ 1/2" & 3" inches on the long side.

You will note there is a circular Glimmer Hot Foil Plate in the A Little Birdie set, and I die cut some small rectangular panels from this to decorate the top foiled flaps of my card in a box (I created two foiled images to faciliate this).

I die cut the panels on the front and on the back and also on the top flaps, using dies from the sets detailed in my list of other products below:-

I added a few wooden butterflies from my stash and embellished them with pearl accents to complete my card.   This folds flat and will fit an envelope for a 5" x 5" in card.

Hope you like it.   Thanks for looking.

Bye for now and ......................."happy crafting everybody!"
