A Slimline Just For You Card

Hello peeps !

I squeezed in a little time this morning to create this little slimline gem.

For my card today I used a the fabulous new Hemstitch Slimline Etched Dies by Becca Feeken, the Beautiful Day bundle of stamps and dies by Altenew, together with their Sentment Strips 2 (which I do reach for a lot!!), and also the  AltenewTall Alpha Lowercase Die Set (my favourite alphabet dies).  The background paper is from the Bohemian Blooms 12 x 12 Card Making Pad by The Paper Boutique.

So that gets today's recipe out of the way.

I used the slimline rectangles to create a neat frame for my centrepiece.

The Beautiful Day stamps are layering stamps and normally I tend to just stamp onto plain card stock, building up the layers with different colours and tones.   Today I switched it up a bit by stamping each coloured layer onto watercolour cardstock using a selection of Altenew Crisp Dye inks, and using an aqua brush to lightly apply water to each layer, finishing up by stamping in Memento Tuxedo Black Fade Resistant Dye Ink.  Then I created the sentiment using both the Tall Alpha Lowercase Dies and my Sentiment Strips 2 stamp set.

I do like making slimline cards and can see why they have been very popular.  I would love to know what is your favourite style of card.

Well that's it from me for today.  I hope you like my project.  I will be sharing it over on instagram and would love for you to follow me there if you don't already.

Bye for now and ......................."happy crafting everybody!"

Linda xx
