Quick and Easy Flat Bows - Using a Paperclip !

Do you struggle with bow making?

I sometimes do.

Often I need bows which I want to add embellishments to, and this can be tricky if you have a knot in your bow.   So flat bows, for me, are the way to go.

I came up with a quick and easy hack/technique yesterday using a large paperclip.  I use a paperclip which  is 1-3/4" inches long.

I made a quick video talk through - blink and you will miss it !!   It's a short and to the point video.  I hope you find it useful.   Oh, and please excuse my awful reflection in my glass mat!  I nearly decided to do the video again because of it.  I hope its not too distracting. LOL !!!

Thanks for looking.   Stay safe and ..............................happy crafting everybody !

  1. Brilliant idea, Linda!! I also have a bowmaker, but this is definitely an easier way, and as you say, no bulk. :) Tfs.xx

  2. If you dampen your string or twine before using it (the pc you are using to tie the bow tog) the string will hold
the first knot secure while you tie the second one. I usually cut my pc of string, run it between my finger and a wet sponge before using it to tie. It works really well.

  3. Great idea, thanks for sharing
