Mesmerising Pours Paper Pad and Rose Queen Die Set from Altenew - "Hi" Card

Hello.

I am back today with another card made using the lovely new Rose Queen Die Set from Altenew.  This time I used it together with paper from the Mesmerising Pours Paper Pad.   I love the dramatic colour combination of the decorative paper and colour coordinated this with card stock from my stash.

I die-cut the Rose Queen die three times; once in deep pink, once in navy and once in gold.

I glued the gold outline die to my decorative paper and then paper pieced the pink and navy card to define the leaves in blue and the petals in pink with little bits of gold for the centre of my flowers.

My card is a 5x7 inch portrait card base.

The "Hi" sentiment was created using the Mighty Alphabet Die Set.

I finished it with some irridescent gems to add a little sparkle.

I thought it would be nice to make a little treat box to coordinate with the card.

This cute cube shaped box does not require any glue and I do have an old video on my channel from which you can learn how to make the basic box:-

Well that's my lot for today.  Hope you approve of my projects and would love you to come back here for a return visit.

So, bye for now folks and ............................"happy crafting everybody!"

Showcasing the Beautiful Rose Queen Die Set from Altenew - A Birthday Card for My Crafty Friend

Hi peeps.

I have had a little break from crafting due to house renovations and the lead up to my birthday.   Just the new conservatory to be installed next week and then I can concentrate on getting ready for Christmas !!

Anyway, today I am sharing a card I recently made for a lovely crafty friend of mine, which I can now share as she has also now had her birthday and is in receipt of this one.  She tells me she loved it and that's a big compliment, because I am a great fan of her cards.

For Jane's card I used the new Rose Queen Die Set from Altenew, along with the Grid Cover Die.

I die cut the Rose Queen image twice - once in white and once in gold card.   On the white die-cut  I coloured all the petals and leaves with a selection of Altenew Artist Marker pens.  I popped the gold outline piece onto the Grid die-cut, but before doing so, I added some splatters of gold Alcohol ink.  I then paper pieced all the coloured pieces; rather like filling in a jigsaw puzzle.

I was really pleased with the outcome, and think that I will be getting a lot of mileage from both sets of dies used on this card.   The sentiment is from the Garden Rose Craft Your Life Project Kit.

That's it from me for today.  Hope you like Jane's card.

Thanks for stopping by, and please pop back again.

Off for a nice mug of coffee !!   Bye for now and ......................"happy crafting everybody!"

Amazing Paper Grace November 21 Die of the Month - Pop Up 3D Vignette Christmas Tree

Hi everyone - how is your Christmas crafting going?

Today I have a Christmas project to share.   It is the cutest little pop up Christmas Tree Vignette made using the Amazing Paper Grace November 21 Die of the Month.  Spellbinders kindly sent me to the set so that I could share some creative inspiration with you.

My colour palette is very simple - pink and white with gold accents.

I love the way the line of larger trees highlights the pretty pink tree.

Becca's vignettes concept is so clever.   You have a lovely 3D project which folds flat for mailing.

Sweet Serenade Notecards Collection by Becca Feeken

Hi everyone and welcome to today's blog post.

Spellbinders kindly sent me some products from the new Sweet Serenade Notecards Collection by Becca Feeken, in order for me to share some creative inspiration

For my card I have used the Flourished Sonata Notecard Etched Dies.  These dies are a lovely shape and I have used the dies for the pretty intricate background on this card. I used the coordinating layering die to cut my decorative paper.

For my topper, I used the Elegant Twist Ovals Etched Dies.  The sentiment incorporates the new Sweet Sayings Notecard Sentiments Dies.  I chose the word "Hello" and layered this on a coordinating pink "Hello" sentiment for depth and dimension.  The stamped part of the sentiment is from the Amazing Paper Grace Make a Scene Sentiments photopolymer stamp set.

I added some pretty flowers which were made using the Cinch & Go V Etched Dies.

I thought it would be nice to make a coordinating little treat bag.

This was quick and easy and for that I again used the Flourished Sonata Notecard Etched Dies for the bag.

Die-cut the base and notch at the points between 3-3/8" - 3-1/2" and 4-5/8" and 4-3/4" inches.    Then slip the notches into one of the grooves on your score board and make two score lines.

For the sides take two pieces of card measuring 2-7/8" x 1-3/4" inches.   Score on the long side @ 2-5/8" inches.  Score on the short side @ 1/4" and 1-1/2" inches.  Cut the two bottom corners on each away as shown in the photo illustration below.

Apply double-sided adhesive tape to each piece as shown below and then stick inside each side of the treat bag.

Die-cut an oval for the handle and score down the centre.

Cut the oval in half and adhere inside the front and back of the treat bag.

Decorate the front with decorative paper and cut two coordinating pieces for the sides, measuring        2-3/8" x 1" inch.

Finally, die cut a further backing die and score @ 3-3/8".  Turn 180 degrees and repeat.

Cut down each score line to create two pieces to line the inside of the treat bag.

Ta Dah!!!....... Add a satin bow to finish and you have a perfect little treat bag to match your card.

Well I do hope you like today's two little creative projects.

Thank you for stopping by, and please do pop back again.

Bye for now.  Stay safe and ........................"happy crafting everybody!"

Spellbinders Be Bold Colour Block Merry Christmas Etched Dies

With Christmas not too far away, I thought I would take this opportunity to share a card project which I recently put together with some fabulous new dies which Spellbinders kindly sent to me, in order to share some creative inspiration.

I have used the rather splendid Be Bold Colour Block Merry Christmas Etched Dies for this slimline card in a subtle non-traditional colour combo.

If you are a fan of the modern and contemporary look, then I think these dies would be great, and they are great for making a lot of Christmas cards in bulk, to send out to your friends and family, with not much wastage.

I thought it would be nice to mix textures, so the crisp white glitter card adds a nice festive sparkle.  The little poinsettia spring is from my November 2020 Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month - the

Well I do hope you like my idea for using these new dies.  I had some nice crafty therapeutic time putting my cardmaking idea together.

Thanks for stopping by, and please do pop back.

Bye for now peeps.   Stay safe and ........................"happy crafting everybody!"
